Living For Eden Concert

All I can say is WOW. It was such a great evening on Monday at the Living for Eden concert! Sounds like I missed seeing quite a few members of IHH, so greetings. There were so many people, I am amazed I ended up seeing anyone at all! It was a great experience to see so many people (audience alone was 3000) come together for such a great cause.

All the performers were fabulous. But the one that stood out (for obvious reasons) was Paul. What an honor to be able to listen to him play. He said that "Gracie's Theme" has been the only song he has composed in 7 -8 months of waiting for a heart. He said it was written not only for Gracie, but for all Cardiac kids, and there are a lot of them! Then he said it was also for a special heart surgeon who is fighting for his life, Dr. Hawkins.

That meant a lot to me, to know that yes, the song is for Gracie, but also for all heart kids who struggle, and to acknowledge this amazing, talented man who has save so many lives. I cried. I could not help it. Here Paul is, sick and feeling yucky, and he is still thinking about others and praising them, serving them.

Dr. Hawkins has taken a leave of absence from Primary's and will be deeply, deeply missed. Her performed Elaine's Glenn & Fontan. We had her for three glorious years because of him. Enough thanks can never be expressed for giving the gift of life to so many children and loved ones. I pray he knows how important he is in all of our lives for all he has done.

If you would like to listen to "Gracie's theme" it is on Paul's blog. It is a beautiful song. Also I had the opportunity to meet Dr. Shad Outsen (sp?) who has graciously offered to help us with our heart camp this summer. We are keeping our fingers crossed for him and his recent job interview! So great when people start stepping up and making our dreams come true.

It was such an emotional evening. So humbling and I an still in awe. Thank you for letting us be a part of it!

** Condolences to our friends Blair and Jess as Blairs mother passed on last night after her battle with cancer. We love you!***

**Side note - couple of IHH kids (Grant & Jack) are having surgery today & tomorrow. Please pray!***

I am glad that you have such a wonderful project to work on and such support. I really admire people that give of themselves in the interest and help of others and you are right in there with the rest of them. There are so many good examples to follow and lead. Love you
