TV Ad's

Have you noticed that some of the Ads/Commercials this year are completely ridiculous? Take the Lexus one....the first of many memories?

Really, your first memory with someone is giving them a Lexus?! What! That doesn't sound right!

Commercial number two for the "Embrace" Jewelry is just really lame. Ohhhh, I'm so scared!

The guy comes off as a bit creepy/stalker/murdererish.

The last on is a link. I couldn't get it up on here. It is the worst. If you followed his advice and got me that for Christmas, we would no longer speak.

I'm just saying! It is WRONG on all kinds of levels! There is a reason that "Santa Can't deliver" this one!

It's an Art

There is a train that is parked along the freeway near my home. It has not moved for well over a year. The train has a lot of boxcars. Most of them have their share of graffiti on them. I admit I cannot read most of what has been painted on them (I think that's the point), but I can still enjoy it. Yes, it's against the law to tag on personal property, but there is some serious hidden talent there.
Some of the work is more than letters, there are some spectacular paintings as well. I can't help but wonder if the artists ever cleaned up their act and really pursued using their talent in a constructive manner.

Ho HO Ho

This is just to embarrass my dad. He got to be Santa for their ward Christmas party last night. My kids could tell right away that it was him.....guess they weren't the only ones.

I think he fits the part!

What's a Candy gram? I want one!

Tis the season for all the great Christmas movies. There are so many great ones. From the classics like
White Christmas and
Charlie brown to the silly ones like
Elf and
Christmas in Connecticut and who could forget Christmas Vacation? There are so very many movies, It's a Wonderful LIfe and A Christmas Story that are on TV all the time.

Recently I have introduced my kids to some of my childhood favorites like
Home Alone and
Prancer. Of course The Santa Clause Movies,
Micky's Christmas Carol
(and the Donald snow fort one..) and Rudolph the Red nosed Reindeer/Frosty one's they've seen. I'm looking for others to enjoy this season, possibly ones I've yet to see.
I know my kids haven't seen the Jim Carrey Grinch version - so that is on our list for them to see.

They enjoy Polar express and any thing cartoon like Nightmare before Christmas (but that one kinda freaked them out). They watched Prep & Landing last night and laughed.

Some I like are Miracle of 34th Street (both newer & old)
While you were sleeping, Holiday Inn & The Bishop's Wife. My all time favorite song is Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas from the movie
Meet Me in St. Louis, which may not stand out as a Christmas movie....but to me it is.

So, what are your suggestions? I know there are a lot more out there.

Do you know what day it is?

(me & my brother on the day of his wedding)

Yes, it is Sunday, fast Sunday even. Yes, it is the Christmas Box Angel Ceremony today. But more importantly, it is my "little" brother's birthday! Happy Birthday Joshua! My brother is very special. It is still a bit surreal to think of him as "grown up" and acting like an adult. It doesn't seem too long ago that we were still up late on Christmas eve, dreaming about what the morning would hold, or bugging playing together. Anyone with siblings knows that you pester each other because you love each other. Let me tell you, man am I loved! =D

(Renee & Joshua - the happy couple)
It was amazing to see how much Joshua grew spiritually on his mission and now, to see him and his wife together. It is a blessing to see that by baby brother (aka BBC) has become a loving and compassionate soul. He serves, he blesses, he teaches. Happy Birthday Joshua! I hope it is fabulous!

ps - I'm am looking for the digital version of all the cute pics from when we were little.
