This little baby

It seems like I always have these little moments throughout the day of "I should blog about that" and then I completely forget. I blame pregnancy brain, but I don't know if that is an accurate excuse. This pregnancy does seem to be going by pretty quick. Possibly because it is pregnancy #7, baby # 5, or because we didn't tell people until much later into the pregnancy, or because I am simply more busy with my three kids at home and other responsibilities.

I am enjoying being pregnant. Now, I don't enjoy the aches and pains, the puking and all that, but just enjoy the miracle that is going on inside. I am 26 weeks, almost in my 3rd trimester. Pretty much all organs and vital parts of his body are formed, it is now a process of packin' on the pounds, fattening him up. It boggles me that a tiny little 10 inch person can already have everything it needs to survive - heart, brain, liver, intestines...it is an amazing process.

Since this is baby number 5 for us, we still have not picked out a name. We know it's a boy. For some reason boy names are so much harder. And, we like to use family names. This could be our last kid (depending on the state of my innards). With Myra the Dr. said my uterus was getting "pretty thin". Eventually it will probably get tot he point that it is unsafe for me to have anymore cesareans. Anyway, so if this is our last kid, there is even more pressure about picking the perfect name. If you have any family suggestions, send them our way (dad, we already know your suggestions).

With each of my pregnancies, I haven't done the whole, this is a picture of me at 10 weeks, 15 weeks, etc. I'm just too lazy I guess. I'm 26 weeks now, I have a round belly. My kids tell me everyday that I'm huge.....doesn't really make me want to step in front of the camera! ;) I imagine that we will take a belly shot eventually for those of you who want to see. I'm feeling pretty good, just get tired easy. I have had some fun with low blood pressure, but there isn't anything that can be done for it, so yay for me.

I don't know much about this little guy yet, except that he is a mover. He is very active like Myra was. I like that. It's reassuring to me and is one of the best feelings a mom can have. My dreams have mellowed and are not as intense. My cold is about gone, finally after 3 or 4 weeks, so maybe some energy will return? It's spring tomorrow and by summer I'll have a new baby boy. Now, if only I could get all the things on my list accomplished before he makes his arrival.

Did you know?

That that first heart transplant took place in Cape Town, South Africa in 1967? Well, now you do. Did you know that I got a bracelet, from that very hospital in Africa for my birthday? Well, now you do. I was excited about it and thought it was great. To have an item come such a long way, from such a place that has significance in my life is amazing. Thank you for the wonderful gift!! If you have not yet registered to be an organ donor, make the decision and do so today!!!

How is that comfortable?

We found the girls asleep on Vi's bed like this one night. It doesn't look comfy to me...good thing they are young and can sleep through anything.
