This little baby

It seems like I always have these little moments throughout the day of "I should blog about that" and then I completely forget. I blame pregnancy brain, but I don't know if that is an accurate excuse. This pregnancy does seem to be going by pretty quick. Possibly because it is pregnancy #7, baby # 5, or because we didn't tell people until much later into the pregnancy, or because I am simply more busy with my three kids at home and other responsibilities.

I am enjoying being pregnant. Now, I don't enjoy the aches and pains, the puking and all that, but just enjoy the miracle that is going on inside. I am 26 weeks, almost in my 3rd trimester. Pretty much all organs and vital parts of his body are formed, it is now a process of packin' on the pounds, fattening him up. It boggles me that a tiny little 10 inch person can already have everything it needs to survive - heart, brain, liver, is an amazing process.

Since this is baby number 5 for us, we still have not picked out a name. We know it's a boy. For some reason boy names are so much harder. And, we like to use family names. This could be our last kid (depending on the state of my innards). With Myra the Dr. said my uterus was getting "pretty thin". Eventually it will probably get tot he point that it is unsafe for me to have anymore cesareans. Anyway, so if this is our last kid, there is even more pressure about picking the perfect name. If you have any family suggestions, send them our way (dad, we already know your suggestions).

With each of my pregnancies, I haven't done the whole, this is a picture of me at 10 weeks, 15 weeks, etc. I'm just too lazy I guess. I'm 26 weeks now, I have a round belly. My kids tell me everyday that I'm huge.....doesn't really make me want to step in front of the camera! ;) I imagine that we will take a belly shot eventually for those of you who want to see. I'm feeling pretty good, just get tired easy. I have had some fun with low blood pressure, but there isn't anything that can be done for it, so yay for me.

I don't know much about this little guy yet, except that he is a mover. He is very active like Myra was. I like that. It's reassuring to me and is one of the best feelings a mom can have. My dreams have mellowed and are not as intense. My cold is about gone, finally after 3 or 4 weeks, so maybe some energy will return? It's spring tomorrow and by summer I'll have a new baby boy. Now, if only I could get all the things on my list accomplished before he makes his arrival.

Dale Bob is the perfect name for your sweet baby boy. It's funny, I also enjoyed being pregnant and now I can't even remember what it "felt" like. Glad it's going by quickly for you and I can't wait for the little guy to come. I've had two friends actually deliver their babies at 26 weeks and it's true that they have everything they need to survive. One of those kids is now 10 years old and totally fine. The other it 6 weeks old and looking like everything is going to turn out perfectly. It is truly a miracle and a reminder that there is in fact a loving Father in Heaven. Janice
