Corliss Archer

I was able to go and see the play Kiss and Tell last night at Hale Center Theater in Orem.  What a gem!  It was hilarious!!!  There was a movie produced in 1945 based off of the play.  It is a Shirley Temple film of the same name.  I cannot recommend it enough.
What surprises me is that there is no way to purchase a copy of this movie.  Not on DVD or VHS even.  Why are these spectacular parts of our history hidden away?  I didn't realize that Shirley Temples last film, Almost a Bride (which I do own and love), is a sequel to this movie.  I highly recommend them.  There is a copy you can "watch" on you tube but it is poor quality.  I recommend watching for it to come on your cable or dish channels.  So, so so fun!  Thank you Hale Center Theater!!

We can do Hard Things

So, I have a hard time getting rid of things that were Elaine's.  I know it's kind of dumb.  It's unrealistic for me to try and keep everything that she may have touched.  If my other kids have broken one of the toys that she played with, it sits around long.......before I can throw it away.  And then I still have some weird guilt about tossing it.
I love when her things have been able to be used by others, her siblings or people who can use them.  I barely got rid of her car seat.  Her crib now has a good new home.  I saw a picture of the cute little one in the crib today.  She looked happy.  I'm glad she could use it.  Many don't understand my reluctance, and that is ok.  For them to understand,...would be horrible.  I found this quote, and I love it.   "It's an Angel Parent thing.  Be glad you don't understand".  See, it's okay to not know why I do some of the things I do.  But, I saw this quote today and hope it is true.  "Someday someone is going to hug you so tight that all your broken pieces will stick back together".  I can't wait!
